It is an opportunity to hold space for who you are at this very moment in time, and celebrate all the things that make you uniquely you. Maybe it's your big laugh, the way you raise an eyebrow when you're not so sure, or the kindness in your eyes when you are worried or concerned. It's an opportunity to see the little things you don't see just by looking in the mirror.
These black and white sessions are candid, conversational, and designed to capture every expression and the light your loved ones see every day.
Maybe, lately, you're feeling like your light has dimmed a little...or you can think of 100 other reasons why you think now is not the time. That's okay. Show up anyway. This experience may just be the friend you need to remind yourself of how strong you truly are, in spite of the challenges life offers. THIS IS ME is about connection, reflection, self-expression, and finding perfection within the imperfections we all live with.
So...What is it?
THIS IS ME: raw portrait session is a portrait campaign celebrating all women during Women's History Month. It started, on a whim, in March 2024, when I put out the call and 35 amazing and beautifully diverse women responded. In May, we celebrated with a Showcase event highlighting all 35 women, and raised funds for the The Little Resource Center of Carbondale, resulting in a $350 donation from the sale of canvas prints at the Showcase.
This year, it is once again being offered throughout March 2025. ALL women are welcome and encouraged to experience this shoot. And, we will, once again, be raising money to donate to The Little Resource Center of Carbondale.
My goal is to photograph as many women as time will allow within the month. Currently, I can accommodate 60 sessions.
This shoot is an opportunity to connect with your feminine energy, your inner light, and the beauty that others so often see, but can be so difficult to see ourselves. It's about knowing your worth, expressing yourself, and embracing all that you are.
How does it work?
First, reserve a date and time that works best for you. Days and times vary each week throughout the month, with a few evenings and weekend days also available. Reservations are first-come, first-serve.
This intimate, one-hour session includes:
- A brief discussion about how the session will flow and any expectations or anxiety you might be feeling about it.
- A 30-minute conversational-style photoshoot.
- An immediate reveal & review of all the images taken and selection of your favorites.
- One complimentary, watermarked portrait to share on social media.
What will it cost?
Given my goal of photographing as many women as I possibly can this month, I'm inviting you to experience this session at no cost to you.

So, there is No Session Fee for your THIS IS ME: raw portrait session. Reserve a time and come as you are - ready for your session. Style your hair however you like. Do your makeup, or don't. Wear whatever makes you feel good. This can be your favorite sweater, a tank top and jeans, a summer dress, or your favorite leather jacket and boots. Whatever makes you feel most like "you." If you hate everything in your closet, I'll tie some fabric around you and we will create something beautiful!
No excuses.
What do you get?
While the session and experience is free, portraits will be sold separately as hi-resolution digital JPEGs for a special campaign price of $100 each. A print release will be included. Exclusive products are also available, including a Limited Edition 9-Up Matted Print, along with quantity-discounted Collections and Add-ons for prints, wall art, and albums.
There is no minimum purchase required, so what you spend is entirely up to you.
Everyone will receive their choice of one watermarked, social-media sized portrait from their session for sharing.
